Here is my blog post about Google Calendar.

K-12 Techsters blog post.

What was I supposed to accomplish and how?
In this lesson I was to choose a tool that has practical educational applications, post my choice in CourseDen, research my tool, and create a blog post in Blogger about my tool. I was also to comment on the blog posts of ten other classmates.

What did I learn (growth/progress)?
I learned a great deal about Google Calendar and Google Apps for Education package. My focus was on G-Calendar in particular. I learned about amazing uses for G-Cal that can help students stay on track with assignments, time management, and planning. I learned that G-Cal can be shared with the students and linked to from another website such as Wikispaces or a school website.

What should I have done differently?
I could have outlined the exact steps for setting up G-Cal for teacher lesson planning (private) and student assignments (public).

Why is this artifact important to my targeted career?
This tool has enormous, everyday applications. I will definitely integrate G-Cal into my lesson planning, which will greatly streamline the juggling of family life, teacher life, and graduate student life. Also, this will likely end my search for a user friendly way to communicate assignments with students and parents.
